Job Description

Here at AXA Health, we’re looking to appoint a Finance Transformation Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract. You’ll be a member of the Finance Change team and be responsible for developing the business requirements and managing the team backlog to meet the strategic objectives and tactical requirements of Finance for the healthcare business, ensuring business benefit and vision are at the forefront of all delivery.  

 

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at either our Tunbridge Wells, Bristol or Leicester office, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Provide programme management expertise and governance to deliver the performance management programme of activity.
  • Take responsibility for developing the business requirements alongside managing existing team workload to ensure strategic and tactical objectives are met.
  • Work with the business and technical experts to define scope and objectives.
  • Develop clear business and system requirements and ensure these are communicated into the overall project requirements.
  • Support business stakeholders with prioritising requirements across projects.
  • Manage stakeholders across the wider Finance department, the wider business including other AXA entities where appropriate for transversal projects.
  • Negotiate and give constructive feedback on Health requirements where needed.
  • Support the Finance team in managing testing and resolving defects.
  • Lead on process improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • Part qualified or newly qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA (or have relevant experience) would be advantageous.
  • Experience of being part of Finance change projects - managing and implementing change into Finance function would be preferred.
  • Strong business analytics / business analyst skillset.
  • Ability to drill down into the detail, as well as be able to step back and take a strategic view.
  • Pro-active in approach to change and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Project management and/or project manager experience in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / Process efficiency methodologies.
  • Stakeholder management – building and maintaining trust with a variety of individuals (from technical and non-technical areas).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to question and provide opinions and professional recommendations in a clear and constructive manner at all levels of the business, and with external parties.
